Yes/no questions

This type of question is the easiest to form in Japanese. It is sufficient to add a か (ka) at the end of a statement to make it a question.

Example:

がくせいです。
(I am) a student.

がくせいです
はい / いいえ。
(Are you) a student?Yes / no.
Note that question marks usually are not written at the end of questions in Japanese.
